Planner/Estimator

Mayflower Engineering is a market leading, well established Sheffield based company.
They specialise in the design and manufacture of a diverse range of medium to heavy Mechanical Engineering projects and products, working with a variety of market sectors to deliver exceptional engineering solutions.

We are currently looking to recruit a permanent Planner/Estimator. Reporting directly to the Senior Planner, the successful candidate would be required to have a minimum of three years’ experience within an Engineering/Fabrication environment and would be able to demonstrate a competency, through experience, in the production of implementing accurate planning and estimating techniques.

A working knowledge of nesting software packages/CAD is useful but not essential. 

The company’s client base is wide ranging as is the extent of our manufacturing capability and in recognition of this, we would provide full support and back-up during the initial period of introduction to the company’s Programming and Nesting Department.

The successful candidate will possess a clear understanding and experience in the following:

- A good understanding and interpretation of engineering drawings.

- Ability to use measuring equipment.

- Good communication skills at all levels.

- A working knowledge of lean, six sigma methodology to aid continuous improvement.

- Competency in Microsoft Office and administration.
