Quality Inspector **Immediate Start**

Mayflower Engineering is a market leading, well established Sheffield based company.
They specialise in the design and manufacture of a diverse range of medium to heavy Mechanical Engineering projects and products, working with a variety of market sectors to deliver exceptional engineering solutions.

We are now looking to recruit a Quality Inspector on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will possess a clear understanding and experience in the following:

-          Dimensional and visual Inspection of fabrications and welding

-          Using appropriate inspection and measuring equipment

-          Non-Destructive Examination of fabrications – MPI / DPI

-          Completion and maintenance of relevant documentation (existing systems)

-          Investigation and resolution of QC and Inspection issues

-          Actively supporting Quality Assurance and Continual Improvement matters

-          Maintaining a clean safe and compliant working environment

Skills & attributes required for the role:

-          A good understanding and interpretation of engineering and fabrication drawings

-          A proven engineering/fabrication/welding background

-          Experience in appropriate types of measuring equipment

-          Attention to accuracy and detail is essential

-          NDE experience/qualification would be beneficial, further training and qualifications will be considered.
