Mechanical Fitter

We are currently looking to recruit a permanent Mechanical Fitter to work on a diverse range of medium to heavy Mechanical Engineering projects alongside the maintenance of plant machinery.
Successful candidates must be time served or able to demonstrate a competency through experience within the workplace with an ability to ensure that jobs are manufactured in accordance with supplied technical drawings and produce work within the required timeframes whilst consistently achieving our quality standard (BSEN ISO 9001). Consideration will be given to those applicants that can demonstrate high levels of competency for following technical instructions.
Essential Experience:
- Time served / Apprentice Trained Mechanical Fitter or equivalent Mechanical Qualification.
- A proven track record in Mechanical Fitting covering maintenance/assembly & work on bearings, gearboxes, couplings, pullies and other mechanical equipment.
- Experience & ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
- Good attention to detail / quality
- Good communication skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work on their own or part of a team
- Overhead crane operating experience.
Personal Qualities Required:
- A team player willing to assist fellow colleagues.
- A good verbal communicator.
