Our client had the vision to create a new model of military vehicle turret and required a partner capable of delivering complete design and manufacture. Operating from our facility in Sheffield, the city famous for steel and world-class engineering, Mayflower delivered a complete turn-key package encompassing in-house design, testing and manufacture. Backed by decades of engineering expertise, Mayflower's in-house International Welding Engineers and Metallurgist Engineers were deployed to ensure the very highest standards of manufacture were adhered to at all times. As is standard for all our defence sector projects, the turrets were subject to rigorous QA and testing activities at our Sheffield site.

Our International Welding Engineers oversaw the fabrication and welding of all armour plate, while Mayflower's experienced production team provided machining, forming and other vital manufacturing operations from our Sheffield facility. Our dedicated document control team collated various certifications and reports, to enable complete traceability.

Working closely with our client meant that we were able to offer a flexible manufacturing service, making adjustments and alternations to meet their changing needs. Overseen by a dedicated Project Manager, the project was an enormous success as we delivered a total of twelve turrets on time and in full to our customer's exact specification.
